Partners in the Field

Due to the global nature of our work and the collaborative effort we use in distributions and campaigns, we have an extensive network of partners. And we are always looking for new individuals and organizations to join us in sending clean, safe light to those that need it!

Here are a few ways to partner with us:

A rural Indian school's headmaster helps One Million Lights to develop successful distribution programs for schools in his region of Northern Tamil Nadu.

Global Ambassadors can be students, professionals, or retirees that are planning to travel to a region of the world that does not have adequate access to electricity. You can help One Million Lights reach new communities and organizations as well as check up on existing programs. Your role would be to raise funds for and transport lights to a community in need. Other important tasks include reporting, creating videos, taking photos, writing stories, connecting with local NGOs, surveying the community on success of the program, expanding small programs, monitoring solar light use and impact.

Community-based Organizations in the Field can be NGOs, community groups, or for-profit entities that have a stable and fair connection with a community or region in need of clean, safe light. You can connect One Million Lights with new communities and help us to manage distributions effectively and honestly. Your communication and local expertise ensure that our programs are successful and sustainable. One Million Lights can provide a fulfilling way for your organizations to further your good work to your communities.

Philanthropic Organizations can be any group of funders that are interested in investing in a clean, safe, appropriate tool that improves health, education, income-generation, and the environment for communities living in poverty without access to electricity. Our programs can be funded by corporations, community groups, schools, and universities. Learn more about projects that need support here.

Expertise and Advisory Support is welcome in almost any capacity. We are especially interested in feedback on customs, shipping, logistics, in-country storage and inventory, outreach and awareness, public relations (pr), and website management.
