Namaste Event for Intel Employees to Celebrate Indian Heritage — One Million Lights joined several India-focused nonprofits at the Santa Clara, CA campus in February 2010 to promote our programs for communities in India.

We were sponsored by the Santa Clara section of one of Intel Corporation’s Green Culture teams. Their goal is to promote green culture within Intel, in lives of Intel employees and at the same time, try to get engaged in various “green” related volunteer activities across the Intel community to make a difference.

The event was a mixture of community businesses and organizations along with employee booths – there were 20-25 booths this year. The event highlighted social responsibility along with Intuit’s sustainability initiatives.

One Million Lights joining Intuit Employees in Celebrating Diwali — Wednesday, November 3 from 2:30-5pm at the Mountain View, CA campus.

Diwali is known as the Festival of Lights and is celebrated in India by families placing lights and candles all over their homes. The event will open to all Intuit employees. The café will be decorated with lights and a beautiful design made of colored rice. Music, dancing, food, drinks and sweets for the employees to come and enjoy.
