One Million Lights partnered with One Million Lights- Philippines this past December to raise funds for typhoon  Haiyan relief.   We raised over $3000 in less then a month,  which provided more than 220 solar lights to affected communities.
Typhoon Haiyan, known locally as Typhoon Yolanda, was one of the strongest tropical cyclones to ever make landfall in recent history, affecting more than 12 million Filipinos.
With the help of various partners, and the outpouring of  donations from all over the world, OML PH has distributed  lights to households, health centers, and evacuation centers in  affected communities in northern Cebu, Capiz, and Leyte. The  support has allowed OML PH to continue deploying  more lights to Tacloban, Malapascua, Ormoc, and more areas in the coming weeks.

One Million Lights Philippines (OML PH) has been mobilizing to extend aid to different area in the central Philippines that have been affected by super-typhoon Haiyan.  Over a thousand lights have already been deployed to affected communities.

OML and OML PH would like to thank everyone who has, and continues to make the deployment of these lights to affected areas possible. Your generosity will go a long way in helping people rebuild their lives and cope with daily challenges.
