One Million Lights will be at the Interfaith Green Expo in Springfield, MA.  1:00-4:00.  Please stop by to say hi and participate in one of our fun activities.

 

March 24, 2016–  One Million Lights will be at Palo Alto High School for their Service Learning Lunch.  We will promoting the One Million Lights, Global Ambassador Program.

May 3, 2016– SV Gives! Donate on SV Give day through our razoo portal for a chance to get your donations matched!  Event Site- TBD

Empowering Education

A fundraising event to support the build of a central solar electric system for the Lake Eyasi Girls Vocational Center, located outside of Karatu in Northern Tanzania.  The center is for the training and employment of local women in the textiles industry. It will offer education on site as well as health care, and provide for local food and water security.

One Million Lights is one of 7 charities that are benefiting this year from the WomenNow Charity Ball this year.  All of the proceeds from this event will be split evenly among the organizations. Please consider attending.

IIndia-SC Namaste Intel Annual Event

During May & June 2012, Intel employees are contributing toward a goal of sending 150 lights to communities in need.

• Sunday, April 22, 2012, 11am-2:30pm, First Presbyterian Church, Palo Alto, CA – Earth Day Peace and Social Justice Craft and Information Fair, co-sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Palo Alto, Cool Planet Working Group, and Peninsula Peace and Justice Center.
• Tuesday, April 24, 2012, from 11am to 1pm, Silver Spring Networks, 555 Broadway Street, Redwood City. – is hosting their company-wide Earth Day event.

This conference focused on social entrepreneurship, sustainability and social corporate responsibility.
