Every year One Million Lights gets the opportunity to teach, study with, and fundraise with students all
over the country. For the 2015-2016 school year One Million Lights is partnering with Interact District 5160 to improve the daily lives of children and adults by fundraising and donating towards providing clean and healthy lighting to the people who are in need.
Interact is a service club for youth. Clubs benefit from sponsorship by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance.
This collaboration with Interact District 5160 opens the doors for school clubs, in that district, to participate within the solar industry and impact the lives of others by fundraising, donating and engaging their community.
The Interact 5160 partnership is the group to participate in the new One Million Lights Student Solar Innovation Club. Our goals with this program are to expand our One Million Students educational program within our local school districts. It will be designed as a toolkit for students to be able to start their own One Million Lights clubs in their schools. Stay tuned for more details on this and the Interact projects.
