During May & June 2012, Intel employees are contributing toward a goal of sending 150 lights to communities in need.

Celebrate Earth Day along with One Million Lights:

  • Friday, April 20, 2012, 11am – 2pm, NVIDIA, 2701 San Tomas Expressway, Santa Clara, CA. NVIDIA’s annual Earth Day event takes place inside the main campus café.
  • Sunday, April 22, 2012, 11am-2:30pm, First Presbyterian Church, Palo Alto, CA – Earth Day Peace and Social Justice Craft and Information Fair, co-sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Palo Alto, Cool Planet Working Group, and Peninsula Peace and Justice Center.
  • Tuesday, April 24, 2012, from 11am to 1pm, Silver Spring Networks, 555 Broadway Street, Redwood City. – is hosting their company-wide Earth Day event.

Raghavan Anand, CFO of One Million Lights, moderated the Social Innovation Panel at the Wharton Conference in San Francisco, April 5th, 2012.

This conference focused on social entrepreneurship, sustainability and social corporate responsibility.

Energizer Night Race – Dec 4

One Million Lights and Energizer are teaming up to host a series of Night Races. The race was in Las Vegas on December 4th, 2011.

Bonfire Heights Conference – Sept 23-25

Join Barrett Raftery, East Africa project leader for One Million Lights, at Bonfire Heights — a conference created to encourage entrepreneurship and movements towards social goodness.

Picnic By The Lake: Fundraiser for Japan – Sat, May 21

Join One Million Lights for an afternoon of hors d’ouvres and live music at Shoreline Lake Aquatic Center & Cafe in Mountain View, CA.  Proceeds fund solar lights for earthquake zones in Japan, where many clinics and medical centers are still without electricity.

Holiday Party with One Million Lights – Sun, Dec 5

Holiday Party with One Million Lights — Join us on Sunday, December 5 from 3-6pm in Palo Alto, CA to celebrate another year of One Million Lights programs. Donations will go towards funding solar light distribution projects.

Intuit Diwali Celebration – Wed, Nov 3

One Million Lights joining Intuit Employees in Celebrating Diwali — Wednesday, November 3 from 2:30-5pm at the Mountain View, CA campus. Diwali is known as the Festival of Lights and is celebrated in India by families placing lights and candles all over their homes. The event will open to all Intuit employees. The café will be decorated with lights and a beautiful design made of colored rice. Music, dancing, food, drinks and sweets for the employees to come and enjoy.

An Evening with One Million Lights in SF – Tues, Nov 2

An Evening with One Million Lights at Paragon in San Francisco. Join us on Tuesday, November 2, from 6-8pm for drinks and bites at Paragon, a trendy spot in San Francisco. We’ll have a free first glass of wine and plenty of complimentary appetizers waiting for you. Please bring friends! We suggest a $20 donation from all guests.
